25-29 October 2021
Tickets are available ONLINE ONLY - please do not call, message or email to make a booking as we will not be able to help.
PLEASE NOTE:
Seats aboard The Wizard Express are allocated. Any tickets booked together on one order will be seated together with no social distancing.
We therefore insist that bookings are made for no more than six people or two households maximum.
Separate social bubbles should make separate bookings.
Any bookings made for more than six people or with more than three adults will be automatically put on hold pending questioning by KLR staff.
Junior witches & wizards-in-the-making are invited to step aboard our spectacular steam train express which will transport them to Wizarding Class at Shelley Station.
PLEASE NOTE: The initial amount of tickets released for sale will allow us to run the event at half capacity to allow for social distancing. If social distancing is no longer necessary as we get closer to the event, we will release further tickets at a later date.
On the day of your visit, you will be booked onto a specific train departure time which will transport you from Clayton West Station to Shelley Station where you'll take part in a spellbinding Wizard School, where our magical guests will help all the wannabe witches/wizards learn everything they need to know for a life of broomstick-riding, wand-waving & potion-making!
The time you select when making your booking is the time your train departs from Clayton West Station - don't be late or you might end up on the wrong side of She Who Can't Possibly be Named!
However, you will be welcome to arrive at Clayton West Station to use the facilities from 10am, with the facilities closing at 5pm sharp each day.
All THIS is included in your ticket price:
Fancy dress is encouraged!
The event will take place on Monday 25th, Tuesday 26th, Wednesday 27th, Thursday 28th and Friday 29th October 2021.
Visitors will book onto a specific train departure time, with trains departing every hour from 10am until the last service at 3pm.
Visitors will spend 40 minutes at Shelley Station before their return train ride, but can spend as long as they like at Clayton West Station before/after their journey.
Tickets can be purchased ONLINE ONLY from the KLR website. Numbers are strictly limited so booking is essential and available ONLINE ONLY.
Ticket prices are below and all bookings are subject to a £1.80 booking fee per transaction (not per ticket).
**Please note that any infant under 2 who will be taking part in the Wizard School will require a full price child's ticket**

Visitors from separate social/support bubbles should make their bookings separately so we can allocate seating with the necessary social distancing in place - this may not be necessary come October but we are being cautious for now.
For the purpose of this event, a child is classed as aged 2-16 years. It is assumed that children under the age of 2 will sit on laps on the train journey and will not participate in the Wizard School. Any child under the age of 2 who requires their own seat and/or wishes to take part in the interactive class should be bought a full-price child's ticket.
Please note that this is a child-focussed event and adult-only bookings will not be permitted for safeguarding reasons. All adult tickets should be purchased alongside at least one full-price child's ticket and vice versa.
The initial amount of tickets released for sale will allow us to run the trains at half capacity to allow for social distancing. If social distancing is no longer necessary as we get closer to the event, we will release further tickets at a later date.
We're led by UK Government guidance but - at the time of writing - we anticipate the following may need to be adhered to:
Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless the service is cancelled by the railway.
If a service operates as scheduled but a ticket holder is unable to attend/use their tickets, no refund will be given.
If you find yourself unable to travel due to COVID government restrictions or because of COVID self-isolation, please email us at least 48 hours before your date of travel & we can offer you some options.
The Kirklees Light Railway will do its best to operate the advertised train services. Should the KLR cancel an advertised train, tickets may be transferred to an alternative train (subject to availability) or a full refund may be given.
VOUCHERS, OFFERS, PROMOTIONS, DISCOUNTS & GROUPONS ARE NOT VALID FOR THIS EVENT.
